Both are umbrella terms for all kinds of therapeutic touch, and can have different meanings for different people. I consider massage to use oil or other emollient directly on the skin, whereas bodywork can be done with clients clothed. Body work can be triggerpoint work, Shiatsu, Myofascial Release or Craniosacral Therapy. Massage can be Swedish, Deep Tissue, Gua Sha, or Spa-type work like Facials. There is certainly overlap and different opinions of what these two terms encompass.

Craniosacral Therapy is a gentle, hands-on bodywork technique that enhances the flow of cerebrospinal fluid around the brain and spinal cord. It works directly with the central nervous system to promote deep relaxation and restore balance throughout the body.
Benefits of Craniosacral Therapy may include:
Relief from headaches, migraines, and TMJ dysfunction
Reduced stress and anxiety
Support for chronic pain, tension, and nervous system disorders
Improved sleep and overall well-being
-
Myofascial Release is a targeted manual therapy that focuses on releasing tension and restrictions in the fascia—the connective tissue surrounding muscles, joints, and organs.
Key benefits of Myofascial Release include:
Enhanced flexibility, circulation, and range of motion
Reduction of chronic pain, tightness, and inflammation
Nervous system regulation through gentle fascia work
Support for injury recovery, posture improvement, and mobility
