Myofascial Release
Corvallis, Oregon
Slow, sustained pressure that unwinds deep fascial restrictions and restores mobility.
Myofascial Release
Myofascial Release (MFR) uses gentle but sustained pressure to soften and lengthen the fascia — the connective tissue surrounding every muscle, bone, and organ. Over time, stress, posture, injury, and chronic tension can cause the fascia to tighten or bind. MFR helps it release and return to a more fluid, responsive state.
What Myofascial Release Helps With
- Chronic neck, shoulder, or back pain
- Limited range of motion
- Scar tissue and adhesions
- Postural imbalance
- Repetitive strain or overuse injuries
- TMJ pain
- Pelvic or hip discomfort
- Fibromyalgia symptoms
- Whole-body tension patterns
What a Session Is Like
MFR is done with gentle, static pressure, not force. Movements are slow, mindful, and responsive. As the tissue warms and softens, clients often feel lengthening, release, and increased mobility in previously restricted areas.
My Approach
I use an integrative approach, blending MFR with craniosacral and neuromuscular techniques when supportive. Sessions are paced slowly to allow for deeper release without overwhelming the system.
